What to expect?
First of all we need to get to know you and your body. This involves getting some important information regarding your presenting symptoms and your health status. You may be required to fill out a detailed questionnaire, either before you arrive or once in our office, so we can help you the best we can.
It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing that will allow you to move unrestricted.
Assessment
Once we have gathered all the information required to help you then its time to do a physical assessment. We’ll conduct a series of evidence based tests including neurological, orthopaedic, muscular and chiropractic examination procedures that will not only determine where your symptoms are and the severity but most importantly, WHY you’re in that state and WHAT got you there.
Then What?
Everyone is different so there is no “one size fits all” treatment approach. Depending on your presenting complaint, physical condition and physical assessment we will then discus your options. We may get started straight away or further testing may be needed to rule in/out anything more serious before proceeding.
For our comprehensive and detailed assessment and examination allow 30-45 minutes for your 1st visit.
Xrays?
Chiropractors are licensed to take x-rays and spent numerous hours in our training interpreting the images. They are often an invaluable tool to help diagnose conditions or potential problems that otherwise may have gone undetected, and with the advancements in digital imaging, radiation exposure has been dramatically reduced. Some patients will need to be sent for x-rays some will not. It depends on your presenting state and individual requirements.
